Educators have the option of completing the Master of Education degree that includes all requirements for certification as a K-12 school principal. If a student already holds a master’s degree, he or she may complete certification requirements without completing the entire master’s program. This program is designed not only for degree and certification candidates but is available for both teachers and administrators who, as seasoned educators, wish to continue to enhance their teaching and leadership skills.
Master of Education / Administrative Program K-12 Principal Certification:- A 24 credits K-12 Principal Certification is offered to students who already hold an approved Masters degree. Cal U’s Administrative Program for Principals (ADP) is a part-time, on-line program for public school teachers who are seeking an M.Ed. in Education with Specialization in K-12 Pennsylvania Principal Certification, 36 Credits. If a student already holds a master’s degree, he or she may complete K-12 Pennsylvania Principal Certification, 24 Credits, without completing the entire master’s program.

Master of Arts (M.A.) in Educational Administration/Elementary School Principal:- The Master of Arts (M.A.) in Educational Administration, Elementary School Principal program provides aspiring school leaders a combination of online courses and field experiences that draw upon the best available theory, research, and experiential wisdom. The coursework is offered online while the field-based internship is completed under the supervision of experienced school administrators. This provides a purposeful balance of academic preparation and field-based practical experience to produce an effective school administrator.
Upon completion of the online Educational Administration degree, including the accompanying field-based internship, students may earn Elementary School Principal (Grade K-8) licensure. Students should contact their state for specific licensure requirements.
